Need a hand, a bracket set that won't merge cleanly, or want us to add your camera's RAW format? Most answers are below, and you can email us a sample in a couple of taps.

Quick answers

MergeHDR isn't detecting my bracket set — what should I do?

Detection needs frames shot seconds apart at different exposure values with matching lens/focal length. If a set still isn't found, email us the camera model and shooting mode and we'll take a look.

My camera's RAW format isn't supported — can you add it?

Often yes. Email a sample bracket set from the original files and we can add support in an update — we can only add formats we are able to test against real files.

A merge came out looking wrong — ghosting, halos, or odd colors.

Try a different deghosting level or tone-mapping preset from the merge review screen first — no re-shoot needed. If it still looks off, send us the original bracket set and we'll investigate.

Can I get an original bracket back after deleting it?

Yes, within 30 days: open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted. MergeHDR only deletes originals you explicitly confirmed, and only after the merged result was saved.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Detection and merging are entirely on-device, with no account and no analytics. Only a sample file you choose to attach to an email is ever sent to us.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or from the App Store on your device.

If a bracket set won't merge, wasn't detected, or the result looks off, attach the original files to your email — the actual bracket set lets us reproduce it locally and fix it or add support for your camera's format.

To help us move fast, include:

  • Your camera make & model
  • The original file format (e.g. CR3, ARW, NEF, RAF, DNG)
  • Your device & OS (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro / iOS 18.5, or Mac / macOS 15.5)
  • What you expected, and what happened instead

RAW brackets are large — if the set is too big to email, upload it to iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer and paste a download link instead.
