Terms of Use
The agreement covering your use of MergeHDR and MergeHDR Pro.
Short version
MergeHDR is yours to use once you buy it — one time for $19.99 (Lifetime) or $9.99/year (auto-renewing). There’s no account, nothing of yours lives on our servers, and your photos are never touched by anyone but you and your device. Apple handles the payment; we just unlock the app.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and the developer of MergeHDR (“we”, “us”) for use of the MergeHDR app on iPhone, iPad and Mac. By downloading, installing or using MergeHDR, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MergeHDR on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions that govern all App Store downloads. You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the app itself.
3. No accounts, nothing stored on our end
MergeHDR has no sign-in and no server. There is no account to create and no MergeHDR-controlled data about you or your photos anywhere but your own device. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail — the short version is that detection, merging and export all run locally, and nothing is uploaded.
4. Your photos stay yours
MergeHDR only reads and writes photos already in your own Photos library, on your own device, at your direction. We claim no rights to your original photos or to the HDR images MergeHDR produces from them — they are yours before, during and after using the app. If you choose to delete source brackets after a merge, they move to Recently Deleted with the standard 30-day recovery window Photos already gives you; MergeHDR does not bypass it.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
MergeHDR is free to try: merging and previewing brackets is unlimited. Saving is metered — free for your first 10 exports, up to 5 a day — after which MergeHDR Pro removes the limit. MergeHDR Pro is sold two ways, both unlocking the same thing:
- Lifetime — $19.99, one-time purchase. Non-renewing; unlocks unlimited saves permanently on every device signed into the same Apple Account.
- Yearly — $9.99 per year, auto-renewing subscription. No introductory offer or free trial period.
MergeHDR is a Universal Purchase — buy once on iPhone, iPad or Mac and it unlocks on all three, with Family Sharing.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A yearly subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple Account settings. The lifetime option does not renew and cannot be cancelled because there is nothing recurring to cancel.
All payments are processed by Apple, not by us — we never see your card details, billing address or Apple ID email. Refunds are handled entirely by Apple under its own refund policy; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue refunds directly.
6. Acceptable use
Use MergeHDR only for its intended purpose — merging exposure brackets you have the right to use. Don’t use the app to process content you don’t have rights to, and don’t attempt to interfere with, disassemble or misuse the app or the App Store purchase mechanism.
7. No warranty
MergeHDR is provided “as is.” We work hard to make sure merges are accurate and originals are preserved, but we don’t guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose, and we don’t warrant that every bracket set will be detected or every merge will meet your expectations. You’re responsible for keeping your own backups of anything irreplaceable, independent of MergeHDR.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of MergeHDR, including loss of photos or data, except where such loss is caused by our willful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms — for example, if pricing or the subscription structure changes — we’ll update this page and, where the change is material, note it in the App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where Apple’s own terms or local consumer-protection law require otherwise.
